The Office of Student Life collection contains campus regulations on student organizations and their use of campus facilities,
guidebooks for student groups, honor lists, and general reports, flyers, memos, booklets and other materials relating to the
Dean of Students and Office of Student Life programs and services.
The staff of the Office of Student Life help students with a variety of issues and concerns that affect the quality of student
life. They provide general assistance to students in problem solving and emergencies, addressing grievance issues, and offer
referrals when necessary. When a personal or family crisis calls students away from campus, they process administrative withdrawals
and petitions for incomplete grades. They provide educational programs on hate incidents and crimes, academic conduct, and
the first-year experience. They are responsive to the needs and issues of students on campus and out in the Isla Vista community,
and actively work with students and other departments to provide solutions to these problems.
