Description
Statement gives the details of his sighting of a Zeppelin-like object near Forest Hill in Placer County, California, in the summer of 1896; the statement was typed, witnessed, and notarized in July 1961.
Background
Silas H. Palmer was a successful construction engineer, builder, and financier; he was a partner in the firm that helped to build the Stanford Stadium in 1921. He endowed a professorship in civil engineering at Stanford University.
