Description
The collection consists of 15 copy negatives of the Laflin family made from original ambrotypes, tintypes, and albumens.
Background
James Laflin, a shipping agent who acquired crews for San Francisco ships, conducted business from ca. 1850 to 1890. His son, Peter J. Laflin, occasionally carried on the trade.
