Abstract: This collection comprises the papers of
Henry J. Ryan who was politically active for the American cause in World War I. After the
war, he served as secretary and advisor to President Harding. After Harding's death, Ryan
stayed on to serve President Coolidge. His papers include photographs from major political
and military figures, writings, correspondence, and a scrapbook of newspaper
clippings.
