Three documents: one signed by Abraham Lincoln and Salmon P. Chase, appointing Richard C. Parsons of Cleveland, Ohio to the
position of Collector of Taxes for the Eighteenth Collection District of the State of Ohio, 1862; one signed by Abraham Lincoln
and Salmon P. Chase, appointing Parsons to the position of Collector of Internal Revenue for the Eighteenth Collection District
of Ohio, 1863; and one signed by Salmon P. Chase (then Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Ohio), appointing Parsons as his
Aid-de-Camp, 1856.
