Description
James Lloyd La Fayette Warren (1805-1896) was the editor for the California Farmer, and helped establish the California State Agricultural Society. The collection consists of correspondence, editorials, accounts and receipts, clippings, manuscripts, and a list of subscribers pertaining to Warren's editorship of the California farmer in San Francisco, his efforts in connection with the establishment of the California State Agricultural Society, and his nursery business at Sacramento.

Warren was born in 1805; he died in 1896.
