    Abstract: Paul L. Henchey worked for the Southern Pacific Company. He enjoyed taking photographs of old mills, mines and buildings in rural areas in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah. The collection consists of 1350 negatives.

    Biography

    Paul L. (Loyola) Henchey was born on April 13, 1913 and died on November 21, 1957.
    During his life, he worked for the Southern Pacific Company in San Francisco. He was a member of the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society, Pacific Coast Chapter. One of his legacies is a collection of 1350 negatives of old mills, mines and buildings in rural areas in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. There is a picture of Paul Henchey at the California State Railroad Museum at a dinner of the Pacific Coast Chapter, Railway and Locomotive Historical Society.
    His obituary states that at the time of death he was friends of Ethel W. and Roy D. Graves, Lillian and Victor Basili, and Ethel and William Beatty.

    Scope and Content

    1497 negatives and their envelopes of rural areas of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. It includes images of old buildings, mines and mills.
