Abstract: The collection dates from Andrew Cohen's tenure on the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) Board of Directors and
consists of documents pertaining to the projects and administrative work of the District. The materials consist of meeting
minutes, reports, data, planning documents, drafts, policy, correspondence, news clippings.

Biography
Andrew N. Cohen was elected to the board of directors of the East Bay Municipal Utilities District in 1991. Prior to his election
to the board Mr. Cohen sued to halt the building of a dam and reservoir near Moraga, California. He served one term and did
not run for re-election in 1994. Cohen is a consultant who writes about environmental issues.
Collection Scope and Contents
The collection dates from Andrew Cohen's term on the East Bay Municipal Utilities District board of directors and consists
of documents pertaining to the projects and administrative work of the District. The materials consist of articles, campaign
materials, correspondence, data, financial materials, legislation, meeting minutes, newsclippings, policies and procedures,
and reports.
Arrangement
When received, the materials were arranged alphabetically by the subject listed as the folder title. This arrangement has
been maintained and the folder titles correspond with the original.
Collection Number
Collection number updated December 2018. Legacy collection number was MS 2010/6. This change was part of a project in 2018/2019
to update the collection numbers for collections in the Water Resources Collections and Archives.
