Scrapbook contains programs and clippings largely of theater performances and concerts, 1915-1933; and photographs of Stanford buildings and other students, as well as family photographs. Two items of note pertaining to his Stanford days are an issue of "Thumbs Up," Oct. 27, 1915, pertaining to the demise of the Plug Ugly event on campus; and an undated issue of "The Appeal to Reason," probably a student humor publication.
Chester W. Barker earned his A.B. in English at Stanford University in May 1918. He was married to E. Catherine Crabtree, also of the Stanford class of 1918, and was a realtor in Los Angeles.
