Abstract: This collection consists of personal papers of the Perry Family, a New England family descending from Nathan Perry, including
the Fox branch of the family, during the 1800s and 1900s. Included are family papers, letters, photographs, and narratives
from the 19th and 20th centuries, including substantial genealogical data. The collection includes hundreds of photographs,
including an album documenting turn-of-the-century California. Also included is an unpublished typescript by Emily P. Fox
entitled "Journal of camping trip to Yosemite Valley, summer of 1893". The collection also contains some later materials,
such as photographs of Dudley Miller with General Dwight Eisenhower during World War II.

Acquisition Information
Gift of Dudley Fox Miller, 1984, who received the materials from his grandfather (a grandson of Admiral Perry) and mother
(a first cousin of the Delano branch of the Roosevelt family).
