    Summary: Scrapbook largely contains clippings on various aspects of Stanford University's first three years - academic life, faculty, lectures given, athletics, campus construction, club activities, concerts, and Benjamin Harrison's visit. There are also a few clippings of articles by Ambrose Bierce, a few newspaper facsimiles of autographs and historic letters, and one photograph of Charles B. Henderson who attended Stanford 1892-93.

    Biographical/Historical Sketch

    William W. Guth earned his A.B. in history at Stanford University in 1895; he was active in the Press Club and worked on the student magazine The Sequoia.

    Description of the Collection

    Scrapbook largely contains clippings on various aspects of Stanford University's first three years - academic life, faculty, lectures given, athletics, campus construction, club activities, concerts, and Benjamin Harrison's visit.
