Biographical/Historical Sketch
Virginia Juliet Smith earned her A.B. in political science at Stanford in 1938; during her senior year she was manager of
the ASSU Concert Series. She married fellow Stanford student Andrew McGue Spears, who earned his A.B. in economics in 1936
and his LL.B. in 1939.
