    Biography

    Elbert Hubbard was born in IL, June 19, 1856; left school at the age of 15; honorary MA, Tufts College (1899); founded Roycrofters in East Aurora, NY, 1895; the Roycroft Shops printed and published books and magazines, and made book bindings, furniture, and small household objects; Hubbard was also an author and lecturer; he died along with his wife Alice, aboard the British Steamship Lusitania, May 7, 1915.

    Collection consists of Roycrofters publications and ephemera. The bulk of the publications are from the series Little journeys. Also includes material relating to Elbert Hubbard and his family.
