Abstract: Jan Harold Brunvand (1933- ) was a professor of English and folklore. He taught at the University of Idaho, Moscow (1961-65),
Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (1965-66), and the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. The collection consists
of typescript and galleys of “A guide to folklore in America,” the working title for
The study of American folklore (1968) edited by Brunvand and related correspondence.
