Biography / Administrative History

Clarence C. Robinson was an educator. He spent early years in California, then taught school in Hawaii in the1920s and 1930s. He subsequently moved to Maine in 1941, then to Santa Cruz, California, where he lived from the 1950s through the 1960s.

Scope and Content of Collection

The collection consists of four photo albums that primarily contain photos taken in Texas, California, and Hawaii. They include World War I era photos of Fort Sam Houston, and photos of Kamehameha School, Honolulu (1920s-1930s).

Album 1: Contains images of agriculture, transportation and other subjects. 1890-1915

 

Album 2: Contains images of friends and family involved in travel and recreational activities in California and views of Fort Sam Houston, Texas at time of World War I.

 

Album 3: Contains images of Hawaii, notably of Kamehameha School, Honolulu. 1920-1940

 

Album 4: Contains images of Hawaii and some loose clippings. There are a few loose album pages containing photographs of Maine.
