Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation is an American film studio. The company was formed in 1935, as
the result of a merger between Fox Film Corporation, founded by William Fox in 1915, and Twentieth
Century Pictures, begun in 1933. The studio, located in Los Angeles, is a subsidiary of News Corporation,
the media conglomerate controlled by Rupert Murdoch.

8x10 format, for 213 feature length and short films. The bulk of the collection pertains to films
produced by Fox Film Corporation in the years from 1928 to 1935, while roughly one fifth were produced by
Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation between 1936 and 1942. The photographs were taken of sets during
film production for continuity and other reference purposes and usually no persons are depicted. The
collection does not fully represent all titles produced by Fox or Twentieth Century-Fox during these
years.
