Abstract: The Ren and Stimpy Show was an animated
television series created by animator John Kricfalusi. The show aired on Nickelodeon, an
American cable and satellite television network, and ran for five seasons (1991-1996). "The
Last Temptation" episode, which did not air in the series' original run, was first broadcast
on MTV on October 20, 1996. The collection consists of animation production drawings,
exposure sheets, and overlay/underlay drawings used to produce "The Last
Temptation."

Scope and Contents
The
Ren and Stimpy "The Last Temptation" Collection consists
of animation production drawings, exposure sheets, and overlay/underlay drawings used to
produce "The Last Temptation" episode. The Ren and Stimpy Show was an animated television
series created by Canadian animator John Kricfalusi. It focuses on the antics and adventures
of Ren, a temperamental Chihuahua, and Stimpy, an excessively happy cat. The show premiered
on Nickelodeon, an American cable and satellite television network, on August 11, 1991. It
ran for five seasons, and was produced by Kricfalusi's animation studio, Spümcø, for the
first two. Beginning with season three (1993–94), the show was produced by Nickelodeon's
Games Animation, which later became the Nickelodeon Animation Studio.
The show ended its original run on December 16, 1995, though "The Last Temptation" did not
air in the series' original run. Nickelodeon's sister network, MTV, aired the episode on
October 20, 1996. The story was developed by Jim Gomez, Vince Calandra, and Bob Camp, who
also directed the episode. The collection is arranged by scene number.
