    Biographical Note

    Zenʼichirō Uchida was a former Japanese Imperial Army soldier who fought in the Philippines and New Guinea. Originally from Kushikino, Kagoshima, Japan, he helped arrange refugee visas for several hundred people from Kagoshima to the United States.

    The collection includes motion picture reels, personal journals, address books, photographs, drafts, and other documents related to the life and work of Zenʼichirō Uchida.
