    This collection consists of scripts, photographs, scrapbooks, awards, and mementos from Canadian-American film executive producer Jack L. Warner (1892-1978). Warner was president of the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. Four boxes are also labeled Henry Warner, despite their falling out.

    Biographical / Historical

    Jack L. Warner (1892-1978) was a Canadian-American film executive producer. He was the president behind the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. As co-head of production at Warner Bros. Studios, he worked with his brother, Sam Warner, to procure the technology for the film industry's first talking picture, "The Jazz Singer" (1927). Warner officially retired from the studio in 1969.
