Abstract: A collection of two serial publications issued by the Woman's Building (Los Angeles) between 1976 and 1981: four issues of a recurring brochure for the Extension Program at the Woman's Building and nine issues of Spinning Off: A Newsletter Of Women's Culture Presented By The Woman's Building. The Woman's Building was a non-profit arts and education center created by and for women in Los Angeles, California. Active from 1973 to 1991, the Woman's Building focused on feminist art and served as a venue for the women's movement in Los Angeles. The Extension Program at the Woman's Building offered a series of courses and workshops by prominent women in the fields of literature, art, art history, design, graphics, film, video, performance, dance, music, health, and psychology in an independent and feminist environment. The four brochures in this collection provide general information about the Extension Program, along with course catalogs for the 1976 Fall Session and the 1977 Winter, Spring, and Fall Sessions. Spinning Off: A Newsletter of Women's Culture Presented By The Woman's Building contains photographs, advertisements, news, calendars of events, and information about services relating to the Woman's Building. This collection holds nine issues of Spinning Off in a broken run ranging from May of 1978 (Vol. 1, No. 5) to July/August of 1981.
