Background
Stefanos Polyzoides was born in Athens, Greece. He received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Architecture from Princeton
University. Polyzoides has been a working architect since 1967, taught at Princeton University, and at the University of Southern
California from 1973 to 1997. In the early 1980s, Polyzoides received a Graham Foundation grant to study the residential design
of R.M. Schindler, followed by another grant from the National Endowment for the Arts which allowed him to construct a traveling

Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia and San Sebastian, Spain. Polyzoides has written extensively on architecture, but his
more well-known publications concern Schindler. Today, Polyzoides is a principle of the architectural firm Moule & Polyzoides
