Collection contains holograph ledger of New England pharmacist, with transactions dated from 1851-1862. Completed in one hand,
on ruled blue paper, bound in half tan sheep and marbled paper over boards. Contains entries for opium, morphine, coca, canary
seeds, bitters, camphor, brandy, spirits of turpentine, juniper, acid drops, cough drops, etc.. A printed receipt, completed
in holograph and dated 1865, received from C.B.M. Woodward of Haverhill, N.H., laid in. Town notations in ledger include Canterbury,
N.H. and Groton Center, Mass.. Dated entries each consist of customer's name, list of items sold, and price.
