Biographical Note
K'ang Ching-lien 康景濂 (Kang Qinglian) (1895-1985). Chinese army officer. Attained rank of major general, served during the
warlord era (1916-1928) through the Chinese Civil War (1927-1949), moved to Taiwan in 1949, retired in the United States.
Scope and Content of Collection
The collection includes memoirs, writings, correspondence, certificates, memorabilia, and personal documents that document
K'ang Ching-lien's military career in the KMT during the warlord era (1916-1928) and the Chinese Civil War (1927-1949). It
includes military yearbooks, appointment certificates, medals, and military handbooks.
