Record Series 779 contains oral history
transcripts and audio recordings donated to UCLA's Center for Oral History Research, and
interviews from the Center for Iranian Jewish Oral History (CIJOH), many of which are in
Farsi.
Background
Since its inception in 1959 the Center for Oral History Research - formerly known as the
Oral History Program - has received a number of donated interviews. In some instances these
interviews have been transcribed but not edited; in other cases they remain as audiotape
recordings. All materials are available to researchers. However, donor agreements (or lack
therof) for some interviews may preclude copying or quotation.

Restrictions
Property rights to the physical objects belong to UCLA Library Special Collections. All
other rights, including copyright, are retained by the creators and their heirs. It is the
responsibility of the researcher to determine who holds the copyright and pursue the
copyright owner or his or her heir for permission to publish where The UC Regents do not
hold the copyright.
