The Jerry Weintraub collection includes 84 reels of motion pictures, television programs, and sound recordings, 13 take-up reels, and two projectors. Weintraub has produced such works as Nashville (1975), Oh, God! (1977), Cruising (1980), Diner (1982), The Karate Kid (1984), Pure Country (1992), and The Avengers (1998).

Jerry Weintraub was born on September 26, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, to Rose and Sam Weintraub. He began his career as a talent manager for MCA Records in the 1950s and worked with such artists as Joey Bishop, The Four Seasons, Jack Paar, John Denver, and Jane Morgan- who he eventually married in 1965. That same year, he formed Management III. The venture proved quite successful and he became a leading concert promoter for such acts as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, and the Beach Boys.
