for Newspaper Guild in New York City; discusses Irish working class family life before World War II, co-founding chapter of
the League against War and Fascism in high school, organizing for Guild in 1930s, Left politics, and his staff job with Hotel
Workers Union, New York, after the war; ultimately settled in California.
