LGTV started out as a public access television show in the early 1990s in Providence, Rhode Island. This LGBT magazine style television
show originally was conceived by two lesbian women and was enacted by a group of volunteers. LGTV originally aired in Providence, but after a slot opened up in the statewide programming LGTV was broadcasted throughout Rhode Island.
