Papers relating to the estate of Clothilde Reed, daughter of John Joseph Reed and granddaughter of John Thomas Reed

Clothilde (or Clotilda) Josefa Reed was born out of wedlock in 1859 to John Joseph Reed, son of John Thomas Reed; and Barbara Sibrian. Her grandfather, John Thomas Reed, was the first Anglo-Saxon settler in Marin County. Her father recognized her as his daughter and heir, and the 1880 census shows her living with her father and his wife, Carlotta. She never married, and died in 1940.
