Series: 3 History 1887-2012

Scope and Contents

This series is the attempted written history of Pomona College’s Rembrandt Club, created by Perdita Sheirich who is a longtime faculty member of the Club. Mrs. Sheirich collected materials such as articles from campus wide newspapers such as the Metate, Courier and The Student Life with the articles beginning in the 1890s. Also collected were the photographs of faculty member, letter head, membership information and a portion of her written club history. From these collected items are Mrs. Sheirich’s personal notes, drafts, and marginal notes. Mrs. Sheirich’s begins the club’s history in the late 1890’s and ends thirty years later where she ended her attempt to write the club’s history. The club is still functioning on Pomona’s campus to this day.
