Description
The collection contains programs and publicity materials for, and audiorecordings of the Dick Kramer Gay Men's Chorale, a
San-Francisco based organization. It also includes some materials on other LGBT choruses and associations.
Background
Dick Kramer was the conductor for the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus from 1978-1982. He started the Dick Kramer Gay Men's
Chorale (DKGMC) in 1982 and was its conductor until 1988. DKGMC was a founding member of the GALA Choruses (Gay and Lesbian
Association of Choruses) in 1983. The group reorganized into the Golden Gate Men's Chorus in 1988.
