Description
The collection contains programs and publicity materials for, and audiorecordings of the Dick Kramer Gay Men's Chorale, a San-Francisco based organization. It also includes some materials on other LGBT choruses and associations.
Background
Dick Kramer was the conductor for the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus from 1978-1982. He started the Dick Kramer Gay Men's Chorale (DKGMC) in 1982 and was its conductor until 1988. DKGMC was a founding member of the GALA Choruses (Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses) in 1983. The group reorganized into the Golden Gate Men's Chorus in 1988.

All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the City Archivist. Permission for publication is given on behalf of the San Francisco Public Library as the owner of the physical items.
