Abstract: Women's Approach to Community Harmony (WATCH) formed in 1963 as a fact-finding organization in North Highlands; its purpose
was to familiarize community members with the pros and cons of controversial community issues. This collection is comprised
of a scrapbook of news clippings, correspondence, meeting invitations and photographs documenting the organization's activities.

Historical Note
Women's Approach to Community Harmony (WATCH) formed in 1963 as a fact-finding organization in North Highlands, a community
north of Sacrramento. Its express purpose was to familiarize community members with the pros and cons of controversial community
issues. The group invited candidates for local office to deliever their platforms, and they hosted talks and debates on a
variety of concerns, from the installation of a golf course to the rise in venereal disease among local teens.

This collection is comprised of a scrapbook of news clippings, correspondence, meeting invitations and photographs documenting
the activities of Women's Approach to Community Harmony (WATCH), 1963–1966.
