Description
The Craig Louis Papers include letters, cards, photographs and newsletters depicting his life with AIDS and his work as a graphic designer.
Background
Craig Stephen Louis was born on July 15, 1950 and died from an AIDS-related sarcoma on May 25, 1988. He lived in Oakland and worked as a graphic designer. In 1979, he edited and illustrated a compilation of selected short stories, Shells: Excerpts.
