Biographical Note

Konstanty Zdanski was a Polish-Russian resident of Harbin, China during the 1920s and 1930s; he subsequently served as a Polish trade agent in the Soviet Union.

Scope and Content of Collection

The Konstanty Zdanski papers includes two memoirs covering his life in Harbin, repatriation to Poland in 1952, and his career as a Polish trade agent to the USSR. There is some poetry and other minor papers, as well as photo albums depicting family members, life in Harbin, the USSR, and Poland. There is also an album of photographs of the Smolnyi Institute circa 1905, from which Konstantin Zdanski's mother (E. Kubarovskaia) graduated.
