Description
Consists of photographs of contract engineering projects in California and the West, including bridges, railway lines, trestles, a dam, and the Parkside Realty Company development in San Francisco. Includes images of Colfax (Placer County), Blue Canyon (Placer County), Kiernan (Nevada), Palisade (Nevada), Floristan (Nevada County), Automobile Boulevard (San Francisco), Salt Lake Railroad, Western Pacific Railroad (Altamont), Union Oil Company (Oleum, Contra Costa County), Parkside Transit Co., Chowchilla (Madera County), Milliken Bridge (Merced County), and Richmond (Contra Costa County?). Many photos contain images of workers, machinery and equipment. Includes one photo of interior of company office.

Chadwick & Sykes (George C. Chadwick and Frank C. Sykes) was a contracting and engineering firm located in San Francisco, circa 1906-1920s.

2 flat boxes; two small albums are stored in one small flat box; one large album is stored in larger flat box.

Any rights (including copyright and related rights to publicity and privacy) held by Chadwick & Sykes were transferred to the California Historical Society (CHS) in April 2010 by Cynthia Lovewell.
