The ELMHURST (ship) journal (SAFR 14263, HDC 53) consists of a 34 page, unbound sea journal from the trip of the British ship ELMHURST that left San Francisco on September 1, 1893 and arrived in Queenstown, Ireland on January 13, 1894. Places visited or seen along the way include the Galapagos Islands, Pitcairn Island, Trinidad Island, and Sargasso Sea. One short entry per day records interesting accounts of the voyage with much detail in addition to giving general information regarding winds, weather, etc. There are also several clear illustrations to assist descriptions.
