Thayer (built 1895; schooner, 3m), 2 news clippings about voyage, and an 8x10 inch black-and-white photograph of Donn Shannon receiving pay and discharge certificate after the C.A. Thayer voyage from Seattle to San Francisco in 1957. The collection is open for use.

Donn Shannon (1908-1989) was a crew member aboard the C.A.THAYER on her 1957 voyage from Seattle to San Francisco. Mr. Shannon was also involved in the restoration of the BALCLUTHA.
