    Abstract: This collection documents the history of the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco and the people, events, and organizations that contributed to its growth and development. Materials include correspondence, pamphlets, meeting minutes, event invitations, administrative documents and logs, brochures, memos, conference reports, rosters, directories, news bulletins, annual reports, and posters. The bulk of the materials date from the 1950s to the 2010s.

    Copyright belongs to the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. All requests for permission to publish or quote from materials must be submitted in writing to the Institute Librarian. A copy of the request must also be submitted to the Archives Committee.

    Scope and Content of Collection

    This collection documents the history of the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco and the people, events, and organizations that contributed to its growth and development. Materials include correspondence, pamphlets, meeting minutes, event invitations, administrative documents and logs, brochures, memos, conference reports, rosters, directories, news bulletins, annual reports, and posters. Inclusive dates range from1936-2015, but the bulk of the materials date from the 1950s to the 2010s. In addition to the main collection of papers, the Archive also maintains an Institute History Reference collection. The Reference Collection contains general reference materials related to the Institute, compiled by the Archive. Materials are added regularly. Significant topics represented in these files include: C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco; Medical Society of Analytical Psychology; Society of Jungian Analysts of Northern California; North-South Conference; Virginia Detloff Library; ARAS; Jung Journal; Public Programs; C.G. Jung Institut Zurich; The Red Book; IAAP.
