The Monastery of the Risen Christ is a Benedictine Monastery started as a mission from Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery, Pecos, NM, in 1987, by Fr. Ray Roh, O.S.B. Both communities have participated in the Catholic Charismatic renewal. In 1992, the Monastery of the Risen Christ became independent and Abbot David Geraets, O.S.B. was made Superior. Current members include Abbot David, Father Ray, Fr. Stephen Odenbrett, Fr. Albert Meyer, Fr. Ray Greco (retired), Brother Alfonso Daniel OSB, Junior Monk, Connie Mayrhofer and Br. Michael Rodgers, Junior Monk. The Monastery is located on a 40 acre ranch just outside San Luis Obispo. The Collection includes a nearly complete series of the Dove Leaflets, a book of the paintings of Fr. Stephen Odenbrett and miscellaneous articles and brochures.
