This collection consists of the papers, photographs, and awards of American television director Alex Segal (1915-1977).
Background
Alex Segal (1915-1977) was an American television director. Segal worked on such television series and television movies as
"Death of a Salesman" (1966), "The Diary of Anne Frank" (1967), "The United States Steel Hour," and "Celanese Theatre." He
won Primetime Emmy for TV direction for "Death of a Salesman" in 1966. Segal was chairman of the Division of Drama at the
University of Southern California from 1971 to 1976.
