    Processing History

    The collection was processed by Carlota Ramirez, Student Processing Assistant, 2017.
    Processing of the Collection of Mexican film postcards was completed by undergraduate students from the Univeristy of California, Riverside as part of the Special Collections & University Archives Backlog Processing Project started in 2015. This project was funded by the UCR Library and administered by Jessica Geiser, Colections Management Librarian.

    Collection Scope and Contents

    This collection is comprised of 80 postcards depicting various actors and movies from the silent film era. Postcards in the collection, most of which were distributed by "La Casa Osuna" in Mexico, include portraits of actors, publicity photographs, and film stills from Mexican, European, and American film industries. The collection also includes some postcards with illustrated poems.

    The collection is arranged into four series, with items arranged alphabetically within each series.
