Born on August 21, 1936, Andrew J. Eddy, a New York native, later moved to Broward County, Florida. Holding a Bachelors of
Science degree in Economics, he was employed by Broward Housing to secure government and private grant funding, and became
a founding member of many gay and lesbian organizations in the South East, Florida. Eddy was politically active as a Republican.
