Immediate Source of Acquisition
The materials in this Collection were donated to the San Diego Air and Space Museum.
Joel Punches served in the 8th Air Force during World War Two. He was the navigator on a B-17 which flew in several missions
during World War Two. He eventually was shot down, and spent several months in Europe evading the Germans until he was rescued
by allied forces.
