This collection contains the papers of John Howe Gleason, Pomona College professor of English History.
Gleason led a distinguished teaching career and authored texts on English and British history. He travelled extensively in
Europe, studied at Oxford University,
and earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University. This collection contains book reviews authored by Gleason, reviews by others
of his own work, research notes,
correspondence, news clippings, navy training manuals, and maps.
