Audiocassettes donated by Robert Muller, 2017; photographs, both prints and negatives, donated by the Santa Barbara Botanic
Garden, 2018.
Scope and Content
Material relating to the botanical research and teaching of Cornelius H. Muller, professor and founder of the Herbarium at
the University of California, Santa Barbara in the early 1950s. Muller taught at UCSB from 1945 to 1976. Muller taught as
Adjunct Professor of Botany at the University of Texas from 1974 to 1992.
Materials include audiocassettes of lectures given by Muller in 1969, photographic prints of student botanical outings from
the 1950s, as well negatives of oak trees taken by Walter C. Douglas for Muller's book
The Oaks of Texas.
