Biographical/Historical note
The Mutual Improvement Society was an informal discussion group, comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, who discussed
narrative theory among many other ideas.
Scope and Contents
Agreement signed by five Stanford students about meeting ten years hence in January 2025 to share their life experiences in
the intervening ten years. Michael Albert, Eli Brudnick, Long Do, Robert Shields, and Mehrdad Shirangi. The group was curious
to see if their discussions would ever go anywhere. Michael Albert suggested the pact, to see if any discussions that were
held would have any influence on the group's future directions
