The California State Railroad Museum Corporate Miscellany Collection is a collection of miscellaneous material assembled by
the Califonia State Railroad Museum Library & Archives' staff since 1981. The purpose for the collection is to gather loose
items relevant to specific corporations, and to have them accessible for researchers interested in a particular railroad.
It may serve as a supplementary collection of research material in association with a specific corporate collection found
in the California State Railroad Museum Library & Archives. In addition, it may be the only subject file(s) relevant to a
railroad whose official records are not in the repository.
Items have been accrued over the years through several donations and transfers, then filed into subjects in alphabetical order
pertaining to individual railroads. Over the years, some items have been separated and cataloged individually.

The California State Railroad Museum Corporate Miscellany Collection is an assembled collection of miscellaneous material
pertaining to various railroads and railroad-related companies. The material was often generated by railroad companies for
public relations, business, employee, safety, and legal purposes. Some items are not originals (i.e. photocopies), and the
content is not always complete due to it being compiled of multiple small donations and not the donation of a company's full
records. As a whole, the collection contains documents, publications, and ephemera.
