Materials include both physical drawings and digital photographs of completed projects, which are denoted on the Project Index. Biographical Note

Peter previous hit Walker next hit was born in Pasadena, California in 1932, and received his bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley in 1955, and his masters in Landscape Architecture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1957. Following graduation, he worked for Lawrence Halprin and later for Hideo Sasaki, with whom he co-founded the firm Sasaki, previous hit Walker next hit , and Associates in 1957. In 1983, previous hit Walker next hit left Sasaki, previous hit Walker next hit and Associates and partnered with landscape architect Martha Schwartz. He later went on to form Peter previous hit Walker next hit and Partners (now Peter previous hit Walker next hit and Partners Landscape Architecture) in the early 1990s.
previous hit Walker next hit has served as a consultant and advisor for numerous public agencies and institutions, including the Sydney 2000 Olympic Coordination Authority, the Redevelopment Agency of San Francisco, Stanford University, the University of California, and the American Academy in Rome. He also served as the chairman of the Landscape Architecture Department and the acting director of the Urban Design Program at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University; and was head of the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1997 to 1999. He has published numerous books, established Spacemaker Press, and founded Landscape Forum journal.
The scope of previous hit Walker's next hit work includes corporate headquarters, plazas, cultural gardens, academic campuses, and urban-regeneration projects. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Institute for Urban Design, and has been granted the Honor Award of the American Institute of Architects, Harvard's Centennial Medal, the ASLA Medal, and the IFLA Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Gold Medal. He is co-designer with Michael Arad of the National September 11th Memorial.
