Abstract: This collection consists of 5 albums of 477 drawings of stations from the 1870s and 1880s in California, Arizona, Nevada,
and New Mexico. These drawings show the location and relative size of original station buildings for Southern Pacific Railroad
and several of its precedessor companies, including: California Pacific Railroad, Central Pacific Railroad, Northern Railway,
Stockton and Copperopolis Railroad, and San Pablo and Tulare Railroad.

There are five albums that are arranged by station milepost numbers. The pages are numbered.
I've attached two lists of the drawings. One lists drawings by album and page number and the other list is arranged by station
name.
Southern Pacific Railroad was incorporated in 1865: California Pacific Railroad and Stockton and Copperopolis Railroads began
operations in 1865, Central Pacific in 1867,The San Pabo and Tulare Railroad Northern Railway in 1871, and Northern Railway
in 1876. In 1870, Central Pacific and Southern Pacific railroads merged and were operated under the Southern Pacific Company.
In the 1880s, the other railroads we leased by and eventually bought out by Southern Pacific. In 1996, Union Pacific Railroad
bought the Southern Pacific, which ceased to exist.
This collection consists of 5 albums of 477 drawings of stations from the 1870s and 1880s in California, Arizona, Nevada,
and New Mexico. These drawings show the location and relative size of original station buildings for Southern Pacific Railroad
and several of its precedessor companies, including: California Pacific Railroad, Central Pacific Railroad, Northern Railway,
Stockton and Copperopolis Railroad, and San Pablo and Tulare Railroad. The station buildings do not show the architecture
of the buildings but their relative size and location. Buildings could include: passenger or freight depots, roundhouses,
enginehouses stock corrals, shops, or storage facilities.
Album 127 contains 112 drawings of California Pacific Railroad stations from Avon to Crockett in Contra Costa County, Central
Pacific stations on its Oregon Division, and all Northern Railway stations.
Album 128 contains 99 drawings of Central Pacific stations in California along the Oregon Division, Western Division, and
San Jose and Amador Branches. Includes all Stockton and Copperopolis Railroad and San Pablo and Tulare Railroad drawings.
Album 129 contains 50 drawings of Southern Pacific stations between Yuma County, Arizona to Luna County, New Mexico.
Album 130 contains 96 drawings of Central Pacific stations along its main line from Sacramento, Calif. to Martis Creek, Nev.
Album 131 contains 119 drawings of Southern Pacific stations from Lathrop in San Joaquin County to Yuma, Arizona and of the
Goshen Division in Tulare County.
