Located in Mendocino County, the park lies between Point Arena and Cape Mendocino Lights on the Pacific Coast and is bordered to the west by the Pacific Ocean and to the east by Point Cabrillo Drive; it is directly south of the census-designated place of Caspar. The park is accessible by car via Point Cabrillo Drive.
