records of the Comprehensive Cancer Center from Distinguished Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Walter Wolf (1931-2015).
Background
Walter Wolf (1931-2015), Distinguished Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Southern California School
of Pharmacy, was renowned for innovations in radiopharmacy and non-invasive biomedical imaging. Wolf came to USC in 1959 as
a part of the Department of Chemistry then moved to the School of Pharmacy in 1962. Realizing the importance of having pharmacists
specialize in the field of radioactive drug products, Wolf established the school's radiopharmacy program in 1968. In addition
to research at the School of Pharmacy and his work as an educator, Wolf also directed radiopharmacy services at the LAC+USC
Medical Center from 1971 to 1987.
